The joy of Play Store :)

The care people put into their writings can definitely give you a clue about the care they put into the matter they write about.

I’ve skipped a few, but keeping his last one of the year for posterity. He is now officially the longest angry people at me  I had no idea it was possible for someone to be that crazy for that long.

Some of the data in the image in the comment directly contradicts the GDPR. I did not allow my name and surname to be published in this way without my direct permission. I request you to anonymize the areas containing my name and surname or delete the message completely. Thanks.

That is somewhat funny, because you added your real name even here:

And when you post reviews on Play Store google is very clear :frowning:

So I’ll remove it, but you should be aware of what you do and read the Google Play policies.

Thank you for your sensitivity.

9 months later, still updating and using the app, think updating his bad rating without change and obvious lies is a smart ideas …

Why do I attract such deranged people …

That why your updated ratings matter, as a paid app, there’s not much users and those have unfortunately some effect on the rating and app future …

How do I update the rating/review? “Rezension bearbeiten” (which means edit review) is greyed out on my phone. I can only delete my review it seems. Do I have to delete and recreate it?

I don’t know the button is never greyed out on my phone.

Maybe you have multiple accounts and did use a different one?

I found the reason. If you’re in the beta tester program for an app you can’t write a review. Probably to avoid bugs encountered within a beta version affecting a review but still, kinda stupid.
Since the currently installed version isn’t a beta version anyways I just left the beta, updated my review and entered the beta again. What a hassle.
Hope it does some good.

Well yes as the description explains

I have an unrelated Chromecast issue, let’s bad rate and yell in caps lock to feel better instead of thinking 2 sec.

It clearly says “Chromequest” in his carefully and calmly written review.
On a side note: I actually know someone who has a hard time reading anything if it’s not in caps, online conversations with him always feel like a yelling contest.
Edit: Just now noticed it was translated from portugese, I might have done him injustice.

Yes as the description says  Thanks for killing one of the few apps that is privacy respectful and well maintained for just not reading.

So many useful bad ratings those days, the app will become so good with those suggestions.

What not to do  Bad rate to kill the app, don’t contact the dev about your issue, rollback and complain you can never update again because you never reported your issue.
Yet love the app you paid because you still want to use it …

Funny how people behave differently on Play Store as they would in real life.

So it seems I’m right, but it does not really matter, because it’s easier to ignore all the users who actually contact me here and invent an alternate reality
