Ho look I insult the dev in the chat because he dare to be efficient and not lick my ass, so now I double down, because I’m obviously a very nice person

Thanks @SentientNo4

The chat thread

Same guy that was able to report an issue properly that was quickly and efficiently solved, because yes I do not offer support to people …

Well if AI can’t help there’s no need to contact the dev either let’s just shoot him

I’m seriously exhausted…

If anyone have some idea to make people read the Play store description and the first screen of the app please tell.

The only thing I can really do for you is mark as many reviews as unhelpful as I can. People are too stupid to read the description, so I think that’s the lost cause. The only thing that I could recommend would be maybe have a screen, pop up the first time you open the app, or when you don’t have a license that says you have this many days of your trial remaining until you have to purchase a license or whatever. That might already be there. I don’t remember. It’s been so long since I’ve purchased the license. But ultimately, that’s a failure on Google’s part where they don’t have a mechanism clear enough for these morons that there’s a license that needs to be purchased. They just let people install the app for free and hope they see the in-app purchases line or read the description.

Otherwise, just stop replying to these people’s reviews. Unless they have an actual issue that you can address, just ignore them. Nobody else replies the way that you do, and I think that they thrive off of the fact that you care about your app. One of these days, one of these but hurt morons is probably going to get your account suspended on the play store, whether their accusations are true or not.

And at the end of the day, despite being negative review-bombed by complete idiots, you still have a 4.6-star rating, which is pretty good.

Google does nothing for devs or for the users so I won’t be banned for telling the truth.

Unfortunately 85% of the installs are still from people who directly search the name of the app, the Play Store still does not properly rank the app despite everything being better than the competition.

Completely unfair, but 4.6 in the US where there’s the most Karen’s (depends on the country, it’s higher in most civilized countries) is not enough to be showcased it seems.

The U.S. is truly a special place full of this specialist, stupidest people, unfortunately.

So now it’s shady and misleading to write things on the only place I can write things …

I’ll never understand why some people feel the need to dedicate valuable time to write a negative review or even a hate message.
I would write a negative review for an app only if it’s insecure, shady, or if I believe it would be definitely better to avoid it for a good reason. That would mean to somehow contribute to a community (even a wide one like android users).
Otherwise it’s a waste of time. Just don’t use the app if you don’t like it or if it does not do what you need, maybe by design (I think about all the request of integration of tidal, etc).

Well people are now used to fell powerful with their ability to hurt others anonymously. That’s the only logical explanation of all the hate on everything.

They can now do this without any consequences why would they stop.

But the worse are really the dumb people who just can’t read anything and kills things for no reason.

I’m lucky as despite few users due to being paid on Android, I still get good ratings to nearly compensate but on the long run it’s not enough.

Owns a 800+€ smartphone but lacks the ability to read. And instead of acknowledging his lacking reading comprehension, he decides to lash out against the app.

Many of these reviews remind me of the 1-star ratings on hard drives on amazon where people are furious that they only got 9TB of the 10TB hard drive that they bought (terabyte vs tebibyte). Reading those feels like reading the results of an IQ test. Unfounded outrage as a result of stupidity.
Sad and sometimes amusing but mainly sad.

Hey, I have this totally unique use case that nobody else in the history of the world has ever thought to use, and I don’t like how your app handles it. So, I fully expect you to come to me and fix it. I don’t want to put any effort in. :man_facepalming:

Bro. What?

The best part is that there’s an option for that, and of course he ignores / don’t see that answer and will leave the bad rating

I update the app, I did not disabled changelogs, so let’s kill the app.

How dare the dev provide me new free stuff and document what he does …

Uh, maybe don’t be using your phone while driving? It’s insane that we let these people operate heavy machinery on public roads, raise children, and vote
