Search your library with song lyrics

Feature description:

Ideally, if you can’t remember the name of the song you’re looking for, you should be able to type in its lyrics and, provided the file HAS lyrics embedded, have it appear in results.

Problem solved:

Difficulty finding songs you aren’t overly familiar with, haven’t heard in a while, or otherwise aren’t super obvious to remember.

Brought benefits:

Turns Symfonium search into a more robust search engine for your music library and gives embedded lyrics more functionality than just being able to sing along.

Other application solutions:

Spotify has this option. It goes a step further and seems to search for similar words/imperfect matches too but I don’t think that’s necessary

While the idea sounds cool it might be a performance killer for big libraries.
If I search for a track it currently already takes 4ish seconds before results are displayed with ~1m tracks.

Another potential downside is that some people are unaware of embedded lyrics in their files and I have come across files where (for whatever reason) entire books were stored in the LYRICS or UNSYNCEDLYRICS tags as text.

So if Tolriq adds this functionality, I think it should be optional to allow people with big libraries to avoid the potential search performance hit.

Totally fair. I agree about it being optional. Maybe some kind of setting for which metadata fields should be searched when looking things up. My library is probably pretty modest compared to many others
