Feature description:
I’d like to propose adding filter chips to the main search bar.
As this is the main search for an entire library I feel the filter targets should include all possible values IE merging the filter chip filter targets from Track, Artist & Album View
Problem solved:
Not really a problem but this does give users a bit of a beefier search method across their entire library.
This could also be used or implemented in the smart playlists view instead & be just as useful.
Brought benefits:
Let’s say I’m looking for a track that has the following
• Artist who plays the Saxaphone
• Album is about Love
• Track is an Interlude
This is a very specific example that utilizes Track, Artist & Album tags but the concept still applies for simpler searches that only utilize 2 of the 3 tag types.
I often find myself not knowing the title of a track / Album a search like this could could be more precise in searching even when your brain is failing to remeber the critical details.
● Making a search that utilizes a Track Tag & an Artist tag or An Album Tag & Artist Tag simultaneously is not currently possible without jumping througha hoop or two. This would change that.
Other application solutions:
This to me is similar to the filter bar in MP3TAG. Users can input & filter their files using any & every tag separately or simultaneously.
