Issue description:

Resume functionality

I am still struggeling with the resume functionality.
I set the option to save a resume point to ‘5 seconds’ (Settings - Playback - Playback).

I am observing:

  • After 5 seconds, a resume point is automatically saved

  • After (let’s say) 1 minute I stop playing

  • I start playing again by selecting ‘resume’ from the 3-dots menu

  • The song continues from the resume point that was created after 5 seconds
    However, I would have expected that a new (updated) resume point was created when I stopped after 1 minute and that the song continues from there (this is what I learnt from here: Resuming audiobook, album, playlist .

  • The song now playes until its end: The 5-second resume point still exists.
    (However, I would have expected that any resume point was deleted when the song is finished so that the song is disappearing from the list ‘Continue song listening’ (Interface Settings - Home page).

The resume behaviour as I observed it: Is it the correct functionality by design?

If Yes: I will make a feature request

If No: I provided a log.

What do you mean by stop there’s no stop in your logs.

But you also have the settings to mark media as played at 20, so any pause after 20 % will mark the media as played probably not what you want for audio books.
And explaining why you do not have new resume points.

With that said it seems there’s cases where marking the media played does not remove the resume point, will fix those.
