Playlist Tags on Home Screen

Feature description:

It would be nice to be able to take a playlist tag and have every playlist with that tag show on the home screen, similar to Favorite Playlists/Favorite Songs/etc.

Problem solved:

Having to go into Library, Playlists, and select the tag(s) I want each time I am looking for my “Beach Day with the Girls” or “Road Trip with the Girls” playlists (for example). The appropriate playlists (tagged “girls”) could be right there on the home screen, in their own little dedicated section!

Brought benefits:

Ease of finding/playing playlists with the same user-set tags.

May I also request a similar feature! Ever since the home page UI was revamped in version 8, I’ve felt there should be the liberty to create custom headers and add custom items to them. For example, you could create a header labelled ‘Replay’ or ‘Rewind’ and organise all your “Replay” playlists there etc. This feature will make the UX more personalised.

I just tried to hack this by creating an empty playlist and adding that to the home page. But there is an error message below the headline then… :upside_down_face:

You can now set the limit to 0 to not have the message it’s in the changelog :stuck_out_tongue:

I must have missed that, but I just tried it:

Editing the filter:

But the limit 0 is not being saved after clicking ok - opening the filter again:

Result on home screen:

In the home row settings

Argh…

Excellent!

I appreciate your help, @splinter. I understand that it’s possible to pin both regular and smart playlists to the homepage. I was thinking organising my pins in a similar way to my ‘Favourite Playlists.’ For example, I’d create a custom header called ‘Replay’ and list all my replay or rewind playlists under it.
