Playback error, .vmtl file format not supported

Issue description:

The above error randomly appears when playing title favourites. It’s not a single file that doesn’t work, everything works for quite some time then suddenly I get the error on every track.
Only thing that temporarly solves it is to reboot the phone. Foce closing the app and clearing app cache doesn’t work.
I just uploaded a log under my forum name.

@trohn_javolta vmtl. = vermutlich (@Tolriq = probably). It is abbreviated to make the message fit the screen.

But there is also another typo in the message I will correct.

Oh ok, makes sense now

Damn, thx for the heads up. So maybe my sd card has an issue? As far as I remember it’s not that old, but you never know. Gotta find some app to check it for errors.

Can I just copy and paste the audio files to a new sd card, or will I have to redownload everything again? I assume dd would work but if there’s sth. wrong with the sd card I’d rather start fresh from scratch.

There’s usually permissions issues with simple copy paste.

And yes SDCards can have problems, but could be the OS locking something if a reboot works, when it fails try to check if the sdcard works for other apps / the OS file browser.

I didn’t reboot yet and checked both MiX file explorer and storage in settings and there’s no sign of the sd card. I never noticed it before, probably because I don’t have other data on it that I access that regularly. So yeah, seems the sd card clocks out at random for whatever reason.

I’m gonna get a new one just in case and redownload everything. Gonna hook up a usb-c to ethernet adapter and see if the app will dl it through that, I guess it’ll be the fastest way.
