Make Artist pages prety again

Feature description:

Hi Tolriq

Would it be possible to make the artist pages more pretty. Right now they look quite boxy and clunky. It would be nice to have a more streamlined look that goes with the rest of the app.

My wish would be that they resemble more the look on Emby with fully stretched artist pictures and added fan art for logos etc. I’ll attach some screenshots to show what I mean.

Problem solved:

Makes the app look for pleasing to the eye.

Brought benefits:

Eye pleasing and better UX when browsing artists.

I think having the “about” information at top makes more sense also, instead of the bottom. At least it should be customizable imo

Making the “about” part a customizable position would be great. I’d also like to have it ont he top but can understand the folks that want it on the bottom.

Maybe another customization idea: let the user decide, if the artist page should be black or filled with a transparent/ background (either artist picture or artist fanart) or let me set it to dominant color, similar to the now playing screen. Let the user decide, if there should be artist picture, artist fanart or nothing at the top

Not for me, I have it mostly disabled, and what I want to see and quickly access on the artist page is the albums. I also don’t need stuff like bios etc., I know my artists. But tastes differ here and that’s why it is always good to have config options.

I agree. The way forward is to offer more customization options for Artist pages, this way each user can choose for themselves, in the end that is what Symfonium is about in my opinion.

The expanded player screen already has enough options to make it truly beautiful, and, I would like to see similar options be available for the artist page, padding options around main image, Bio + Genres at top if desired.
