Can't move forward/backward within song when streaming to UPnP device

Issue description:

I’m using Symfonium to play my Jellyfin library and am having issues when I cast to my Arylic LP10, which is a network streamer that supports UPnP.

When casting to the UPnP streamer neither clicking the forward/back 10 seconds buttons nor clicking the waveform works. Both briefly appear to jump to the correct spot in the song before jumping back to where thesong was playing before, with no audible change.

Reproduction steps:

I’ve tried with and without the Proxy via Symfonium, UPnP gapless support, and UPnP alternative flags options enabled for the streamer, but nothing fixed the issue.

The issue also occurs on every song I’ve tested it on.

I tried to revert as many Symfonium settings as possible to the defaults to see if anything I’d changed had caused the issue, but that also didn’t change anything.

Media provider:

Jellyfin

Screenshots:

No idea the device says it support the seek mode, accept the command but does not seem to actually do something.

Since it does not error or anything I have no idea why it does not seek.

Thank you for looking into it! I’d assumed it was an issue with Symfonium since the same problem didn’t occur with Tidal or Spotify, but since there wasn’t an issue here I played around with it a bit more, and found a partial solution, in case anyone else has the same issue in the future.

I dug into the Arylic app a bit more and found a hidden setting to enable Chromecast, which I hadn’t looked for before since I didn’t have a particular need for it. Casting to that in Symfonium instead of to UPnP fixes the issue and allows seeking, so it must be something wrong with how they implemented UPnP. I plan to contact Arylic support to see if they can fix it.
