Bluetooth audio replaced with no noise / static on rare song start

Issue description:

I recently switched phones and since then have encountered bluetooth-related issues in Symfonium. For some songs (1/15 or so), the audio will either be fully muted, or replaced with a low noise static hum. In order to listen to the song, I have to start the song again from the start. I tried different bluetooth headsets (Soundcore Liberty Pro 2, 3 and Sony WF-1000XM5) and all display the same issue. For my daily drivers (Sony).
I tried disabling

  • audio switch
  • Multipoint
  • HD audio
    Also, I tried these codecs:
  • AAC
  • SBC

In the developer settings, the following is displayed
Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload: false
Bluetooth AVRCP Version = 1.5, options: 1.3; 1.4; 1.5; 1.6
Bluetooth MAP Version = 1.2, options: 1.2; 1.3; 1.4
HD Audio: true

Additional information:

I’m using Symfonium on a OnePlus 11 CPH2449, running a custom ROM, namely crDroid 9.8

As far as I can tell, this happens on streamed music, will try cached music tomorrow and update the post

in case more data is required, send a message, and I’ll try to produce it

If the songs play normally without BT then it’s a ROM issue, Symfonium have 0 impact on it.

You can try to change the prefer internal renderer setting, the hi res settings, the offload settings in case your ROM works better in some cases.
