Background Style "Blur" not updating between tracks in Now Playing

Issue description:

I have playlists of tracks from different albums, and as the track changes, everything in the interface updates accordingly except the background which stays stuck on the previous track.

It will only update if I swipe the Now Playing screen down a little bit and then that triggers the correct background to load.

On Android tablet in expanded landscape mode.

 

Reproduction steps:

 
Make a playlist of tracks from different albums.

Set Background Style in Now Playing to Blur.

Change tracks in Now Playing screen.

Background does not change to reflect new track’s album artwork.

Make a slight swip down and the background will display correctly.

Sorry, I tried uploading logs but there was an error and the screenshots just kept “processing” for ages despite being around 600kb :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I tried again with the logs, and it worked.

There’s no media change in the logs, can you upload the requested video to have the full reproduction steps.

And to be sure your now playing settings JSON file.

Are you using Firefox? There are some known compatibility problems between Firefox and Discourse (the forum software used here), which I also regularly encounter. It seems they are known on Discourse side but nothing is being done about it yet. I switch to Chrome or Edge for image uploads now.
