Back Cover Album Art

Feature description:

I recently ran into a track that had a front & back cover tagged like an old vinyl. I have no way to see this back cover in the app though.

Problem solved:

Currently users are not able to see any secondary album arts that may be embedded

Brought benefits:

This could give user the ability to see alternate album art of back cover arts for tracks that have them.

It would be nice to have this feature. There are also alternate versions of album covers, single album covers, etc.

Does any provider supports this? Otherwise even if considered it would only work for local files…

Emby and Jellyfin support this, not sure whether they expose this data.

Had some more time to sit on this. I think a simple (ish) implementation is maybe on the album view where the album image currently lives theres just an option to swipe through any arts embedded to files on that album. Similar to the way genius lyrics has alternate annotated covers for albums.

Bonus points if you could also display embeded info like cover descriptions. That might be tough though.

I don’t think the ability to view alternate album arts per track is necessary nor would that be great on sync times

I’ve been wanting this too — multiple pictures for back cover, liner notes, gatefolds, booklets. I listen on a tablet, and it would be nice to have that right in front of me. I know this is probably too difficult, but sometimes there is a pdf booklet too.

If I may…How & where do you getting your hands on a PDF booklet?

Some artists deliver them with digital downloads bought directly from them. I think this works even on Bandcamp, although few artists actually do it.
