Album Version Redundancies

Hyello, I’m quite new to symfonium and this is my first post here so hi.

I was just wondering if there is a way to reduce the amount of redundancies the album version tag creates. This is how I have my albums tagged:

In the player, by default symfonium seems to add album version both in brackets at the end of the album name, and as extra info after the brackets as seen here:

and in the album page, it also adds the album version to the end of the album title in brackets:

Even though there is a dedicated section in the settings for album version:

(I currently have a custom string showing the album version next to other things, that’s why it is currently turned off).

In custom strings I have tested the following:
title

title.raw

album

album.raw

album.title

album.title.raw

and none of them seem to output just the album title without the version attached in brackets.

I can get it to only display the part with deluxe edition in brackets in the player by switching to a custom string ‘album.title.raw’ like this. ‘album’ and ‘album.title’ seem to output the album version twice as you see in the earlier screenshot, but personally I’d rather be able to get rid of the albumversion in brackets, especially in the album page.

I’m not quite sure if this is intentional or not, it seems there was a lot of discussion about how this feature should work when it was added or tweaked as seen here:

but I don’t think these address the redundancies I’m seeing. I’m not too worried about this though, if this is the intended behavior then it is what it is, it doesn’t impact my ability to use the app. It’s just been bugging me and I wanted to check if I’ve missed something, if things are working as intended, or if I should be making a bug report about it.

Thanks for your consideration and for making this app amazing

You are probably using Navidrome that does that on it’s side. There’s settings there so that it does not append version in the titles.

Yeah I am using Navidrome, I’ll have to look into that thanks for the prompt reply

Ok yep found it, thanks for the help and sorry for the trouble hahaha
