Add Original Release Date to various views

Feature description:

Is it possible to add Original Release Date to Library and as a filter to Smart playlist creation?

It would also be good to add Compilation to ‘Create song smart playlists’ to simplify selecting Best Of albums e.g. albumtype = ‘Compilation’ and is not Compilation (I currently don’t store ‘Album;Compilation’ in albumtype for non-VA compilation albums, but that may be the solution).

Problem solved:

There isn’t a way to subset my music to a particular era.

Brought benefits:

By using original release date it’s possible to listen to an era of music - as long as you exclude compilations - something that’s not possible any other way.

Add more display options for "Original Release Date"

Feature description: I would love the option to display original release dates for albums across the whole app. Problem solved: Right now there is only the option to sort albums by original release date. I would like to be able to display those dates in album/artist views. As well as the “now playing” screens. Brought benefits: Takes full use of provided metadata. And gives a more accurate depiction of a song than what year that edution of the album happened to come out. Other application s…

It’s certainly related, although I’m actually not too bothered if I see the original release date in the album listings as long as it’s sorted that way. If the display was going to change I’d prefer to see both than lose the release date e.g. 1972 (2020).

I wouldn’t mind seeing both. But overall, I would just like the option to choose either.
