Wrong trakc length being reported making for empty playback

Issue description:

First my logs were uploaded as Alexander0408 Wrong track length

I’ve seen other post about this from last year saying it was a Plex issue and that it would have been fixed in a later update, concidering I cant find a latest update I’ve made this post.

For some reason some of my songs are getting an extra 10 to 40+mim increase on there playback, and some are loosing 2min.

When the track first starts to load it loads the correct time but once it starts to play music it updates with the wrong time.

When playing the track from plex, plex amp or just on its own its fine. Just only seams to be When I play it in symfonium.

I’ve tried clearing all my track cache as well as a fresh install of the app, which as seam to fix it in the past, I’ve also re analyzed. The affected tracks in plex to see if that would fix.

But no luck, im hoping to see if you have any other suggestions or a work around

Additional information:

I’ve had this happen before about a year ago and a fresh install of the all seamed to fix it but not this time.

It also seams doing a fresh install of the app made even more songs that weren’t original messed up having the same symptoms.

UPDATE:

it seams to happen once my tracks are cached for offline use. Once I delete the track from my offline files it no longer shows the extended or shorten time. And as soon as it gets downloaded again it shows the wrong time. It only seams to do this if im transcoding it as well. If I cache it with original it doesn’t seams to be effected, only when its transcoded when cached

Reproduction steps:

Media provider:

Plex

Screenshots:

This is always the same. Connected via Plex relays that triggers bad mp3 transcoding for unknown reasons.

Please upload one of the bad media to https://upload.symfonium.app to see if Google can workaround the bad data.

I upload one of the tracks with the same description of

Alexander0408 Wrong track length

But found out & dont know why but it seams to happen once my tracks are cached for offline use. Once I delete the track from my offline files it no longer shows the extended or shorten time. And as soon as it gets downloaded again it shows the wrong time. It only seams to do this if im transcoding it as well. If I cache it with original it doesn’t seams to be effected, only when its transcoded when cached

I need the wrong file exported so the mp3 one too.

My bad, has the same description of Alexander0408 Wrong track length

Also it didn’t exsport as an mp3, it was still in flac format. Just way smaller

Is there anything you can think of to help fix it? As it didn’t use todo this and it seams I still cant get it to function properly.

Or has anyone else figured a solution?

Same problem here. All of a sudden. I don’t use relays on Plex

Glad im not the only one who has this issue. Im currently using navidrome insted of plex but it comes with its down sides. So im hoping we can find a solution so I can go back to using plex

Same problem here. Flac tracks, after download from Plex, have 3x track length.

Uploaded logs as withoutclass

Same issue here. Flac files, no plex relay, extra length when downloading transcoded
