I’m on the latest beta so the menu may look slightly different, but the general steps are the same:
Open the Equalizer menu (either from the Now Playing Screen, or from somewhere in Settings → Playback) and enable “Parametric EQ”. Then tap “Auto-EQ”, possibly twice. (First time downloads the list, second time actually opens the menu.)
Edit: there is a second Auto EQ option under the Android DSP category of the same page. I don’t know enough about EQs to explain the difference, but I’d assume the app’s EQ is preferred over Android’s.
It’s not confusing though?
Logs are mandatory because they provide useful info for 99% of Support posts. If it’s just a simple question like this one, a random user (like me!) is usually happy to help out.
But for the majority of issues, having logs allows the dev to easily pinpoint the cause of most people’s issues. If there’s no logs and they don’t feel like wasting time playing back-and-forth guessing games, they have every right to spend their time elsewhere.
Ok,I’ll have to reread the instructions to determine whether I’ve misinterpreted them,..
But I have another important question pls: I’ve got loads of questions/suggestions (and ironically I can’t even know which is which! ), how and where to best present them?
Normal questions can generally go in a Discussion post. The dev doesn’t respond to those but there’s enough users around to answer most things.
Suggestions for new features go in Feature requests posts. Make sure to search for key words first, to check if someone has already requested what you want.
Neither of those channels require bug reports, since the posts aren’t related to bugs. Support channel is mainly for “this doesn’t work like it’s supposed to” posts, and thus requires logs to pinpoint “why it don’t work” lol.
Also, hi and welcome! We don’t bite, I promise lol.
