Version 13.5.0 and TailScale stopped working

Issue description:

Hello, Hoping I could pick someone’s brain for this…

Before the recent update to Synfonium 13.5.0 I was able to connect to my Jellyfin Server outside of my network by simply turning on my TailScale VPN and opening my Synfonium app.
Now I get
" [SERVER NAME] media provider is offline. "
I always was able to test my connection by turning off my Wi-Fi (while home and in network) and turning on TailScale.
I even removed my server and tried adding it again (under the same circumstances) and now it will not connect.
I also tried using the auto detect (which found the server on my network) and adding a secondary connection using the Tailscale IP (as it was used before this issue started) 100.94.137.xx and port 8096 but it won’t connect when turning off WI-FI and turning on TailScale.
I’m also currently running the newest version of Jellyfin 10.11.0 if that helps make this work again.

Jellyfin 10.11 is probably your issue actually.

The second most common issue is that you are on Windows and the firewall reset it’s settings after the update and now block access.

Fix the network and the app will work.

Thank you @Tolriq for the quick response. Looking at my firewall settings it looks like Jellyfin has all the same permissions it always had. I’ll deep dive with the JF Dev’s to see if there is a known issue with the 10.11 update. Thank you again.

On Windows the firewall issue, is often random switching of the rules between public and local access being reset after an app update.

I got it working again not sure if it was the upgrade to Jellyfin 10.11.1 or my constant tinkering with it.
