Unable to select folder, add media provider, local device

Issue description:

Dear Support team,

while trying to add the local folder after installation I’m getting the following error message: “Unable to select folder. Please select Android in previous screen.”
I’m using an Android 11 radio.
Folder access is given to Symfonium in the android settings.
Other apps like Musicolet and File Manager+ are able to select, read and sync folders w/o any issues.
Would be great if you can support to solve the issue.
Thanks in advance.

I don’t do magic. As the message says, select Android in the screen before.

Thanks for the quick feedback. If I choose Android in the previous screen the result is “local device” with empty folder and no files, no folder can be selected. Sync can’t find any files as well. Please see attached.

The file manager+ displays all folders and files correctly.

Please let me know if you need the according log files. Not allowed to upload here.

Have you given the permissions ?

No folder can be selected where ? In that mode all the device media are scanned.

Yes, folder access is given in the app settings.

Here you can see the settings and the results of the symfonium sync. 0 tracks in 0 seconds.

Storage permitted in the android settings.

Other apps, e.g. file explorer and musicolet can access the files.

Any idea how to solve?

No idea sorry. Specially as the data seems to be on an usb drive.

What a pity. So, I have to use Musicolet in this case.

Thank you anyway.

Having the exact same issue Randy. Trying to use it on a T’EYES car audio head unit. Android apps see the files on the USB fine. Thought it might be an audio permission thing, but Poweramp plays the files on the same USB. All permissions are given. I can actually see the files if I go through the Library - Files tab, but won’t appear anywhere else. Even copied some music onto the internal storage with the same result.
