Unable to import local playlist

Issue description:

Basically as the title says. I’ve exported from both Symfonium and Musicolet, but I can’t re-import either exported file into Symfonium. I’ve uploaded logs from when I created, exported, deleted and tried to reimport a playlist.

Logs:

Upload description: dipper998

Additional information:

As previously mentioned, I store my music on a micro SD card. I also use Symfonium on a Fiio JM21 running Android 13.

Reproduction steps:

  1. Go into album
  2. Tap the three dots on a song, then add to playlist (in this case, I created a new one)
  3. Find the playlist in the Playlists view
  4. Tap the three dots on the playlist, then Export
  5. Use an app (such as DS File) to save the playlist locally (in this case, I saved to the same location my music is stored in, ‘MicroSD/MUSIC’)
  6. Go into the Files view, browse Music location and tap on the exported .m3u8 file
  7. Wait for it to find playable media, then watch as it says it cannot find playable media

Please also provide logs and the playlist exported from Musicolet.

Here’s a link to a playlist with the same song, exported from Musicolet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DtnPqB_YF9vkXJRLfjufqr8l8JMSI-Li/view?usp=sharing - I should’ve mentioned that Musicolet does import playlists correctly, whether it was exported from the same app or Symfonium.

As for logs, are you able to use the identifier I shared above? If not, is there a more secure way of sharing them?

You can just share again the logs from the app and give the description you want just tell it here after.

Uploaded again, new identifier is ‘dipper998-log’

For anyone finding this in the future, I’ve solved it. Here’s how:

I gave Symfonium access directly to my Music folder on my SD card, as Google wouldn’t allow it to just access the SD card itself. The path saved in the .m3u/.m3u8 files I exported from existing playlists assumed the file would be accessed from the root of the SD card, with the path for each song starting with ‘Music/’. Once I removed that part from the beginning, Symfonium was able to find the songs in the playlist, as it matched with the music path I had provided it.
