Unable to Favorite songs during Sync

Issue description

I have a very large library (~1.25M songs), so syncing takes several minutes. My library usually has no changes, so this is generally a (very long) NOP.

While this is happening, playback is fine, but I’m unable to:

  • add tracks to playlists
  • favorite songs

Steps to reproduce

  1. Have a large library (e.g. entire newgrounds audio portal)
  2. Launch app, which will kick off a sync at startup
  3. Resume playback (search and play, or just resume existing queue from last exit, both work)
  4. Attempt to favorite a song (currently playing or otherwise)

Additional information

I will grab logs for this tomorrow, but I’m not going through the 15+ minute sync again tonight

note: favorites do go through eventually (when sync finalizes?), so not super critical, just a mildly annoying latency between action and feedback/ui state updating.

This is expected you can’t have 2 different source of trust at the same time. As you said it’s just queued to when the sync is finished.

makes sense, a toast indicating it’s queued for after sync would i think be sufficient ui feedback in this case.
