Unable to add Jellyfin as media provider

Issue description:

I recently transfered my Jellyfin server from Windows to TrueNAS Scale, and I can’t seem to get it to show up as a provider for Symfonium. I keep getting the error “Unable to get media provider version. Check the port value and that this port is not used by another software on the media provider.” This happens when I try to connect using an IP in the URL/IP/Hostname box, as well as the port.

I’ve checked several times for sanity that the ip/ports are written correctly. I’ve tried switching the ports in my config to different ones with similar results. I’ve confirmed that the IP:port combination can access the media server just fine on my phone through either a web browser or other Jellyfin client.

I’ve also noticed that each time I try to add the media provider, I can see the login happen successfully in the Jellyfin dashboard, only to immediately disconnect. In rapid succession, 3 messages appear:

“USER succesfully authenticated.”
“USER is online from PHONE”
“USER has disconnected from PHONE”

I’ve uploaded logs through Symphonium’s share feature, but it’s the first time I’ve tried using it so let me know if I have to do something special.

Your server returns an error when requesting the system info.

Check Jellyfin logs for why and fix that or report to them.

Thank you very much! That helped me figure out that I botched some of my settings when trying to transfer to the new system. I accidentally left a Windows file path in the new Linux File system and apparently that was enough for Jellyfin to throw a fit.

I’m able to connect just fine with that little hiccup out of the way.
