Track Mix feature

Issue description:

Hi, I was wondering if there’s a way to shuffle tracks like in standard music players. I have a huge tracklist and I’ve run into an issue: when you type a track into the search bar, tap on it, and then hit the shuffle button at the bottom, the next tracks that play are only the ones from the search results, not from my whole library.

I saw there’s a ‘smart queue’ feature, but it’s pretty clunky and you have to keep turning it on manually. I just have a massive library and want to listen to a constant variety of tracks. And yeah, I know you can just hit ‘shuffle’ on the main screen, but sometimes I want to listen to one specific track first and then have random tracks play right after it. Thanks in advance!

Instead of using the Search page to find your starting track, you want to use the Tracks page (via Library, the NavBar, Home Page shortcut, etc.).

You can use the text filter (magnifying glass icon) to search this page just like you would on the Search page. Tap the song to play it, and the app should queue all tracks in your library as well.

Now hit the shuffle button in the Now Playing screen, and voila!

didnt change anything

Ah, sorry. I didn’t hit play myself, you’re right. That doesn’t work.

You could try the Instant Mix instead of using the Shuffle button. If it’s not already on your Now Playing Screen, you can go to More Actions and press Instant Mix there.

The size of the queue generated is set in Settings > Playback > Playback > Personal Mixes size and is default to 10000 iirc.

Just add normal button or tumbler in settings please, i love this app but that is really weird absence of normal function

Smart queues are there for that exactly, and it’s kept you don’t need to reconfigure each time (you mix with smart flow …).

Set smart queue to random based, and default song action to play no queue and it will do exactly what you want …
