Tell the world about symfonium

Feature description:

As symfonium supports subsonic and jellyfin it would be nice if it gets linked on these sites so user can find symfonium as compatible app.
On these sites you can see 3rd party apps that support subsonic/ jellyfin:
https://www.subsonic.org/pages/apps.jsp

Problem solved:

I searched for a subsonic compatible app with good offline support for a while and i tested all the apps that they listed on their website Subsonic
I stumbled over symfonium in a random reddit thread and my search would have been a lot shorter if it was listed there.

Brought benefits:

More users.

Subsonic is dead and the page not updated any more.

I’ve initiated Open subsonic to improve on the API and the app is listed there.

For Jellyfin you can try to ask them to add the app, not sure they’ll do it.

I am creating a pull request for jellyfin what should the download link be?
or
“https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.symfonik.music.player&referrer=utm_source%3Djellyfin%26utm_medium%3Ddownload”
and if someone has an good short description of symfonium it would be great.
At the moment i would use:
“A third-party offline first music client for Android”
It would look like this:

It should be the second link

For the description chatGpt propose: A third-party offline-first music player that streams, syncs, and enhances your Jellyfin content

not bad
i would use:
“A third-party offline-first music player that streams and syncs your Jellyfin content”
why?
i don’t get how symfonium enhances the jellyfin content.
Symfonium enhances the user experience with a fantastic app.

Jellyfin experience then ? To add a note that it’s currently better than original Jellyfin apps.

If i write
“A third-party offline-first music player that streams, syncs, and enhances your Jellyfin experience”
It would mean
stream Jellyfin experience
syncs Jellyfin experience
enhances your Jellyfin experience

I don’t think it is grammatically correct with stream/ syncs.

chatGPT:

An offline-first third-party music player that enhances your Jellyfin experience with streaming, syncing, and full personalization.

ChatGPT can write good sounding sentences.
again what does “full personalization” mean?
“A third-party music player that enhances your Jellyfin experience with streaming, syncing and an offline-first approach”

Well it’s one of the main selling point of Symfonium to be fully customizable to your liking

The full app title is : " Symfonium: Your music, your way"

But honestly I don’t think this will have much impact, so you can use whatever feels right since it talks to you as an user, I guess it will talk to others.

As non native English I can’t do much more

I’m also non english (German)

I have now used symfonium a few months and only now realized that there are Interface settings xD

I am using your chatGPT solution:
“An offline-first third-party music player that enhances your Jellyfin experience with streaming, syncing, and full personalization”

Good description. Personally I would’ve added something about the better performance with big libraries when using Symfonium compared to the native jellyfin clients, but maybe that would’ve made it too wordy.
With my track count, finding a song takes 7 seconds in the Jellyfin Media Player. In Symfonium it takes around 3 seconds so the performance boost of the local db is massive.

The thing is that the jellyfin app ask your ultra powerful server and it takes 7 seconds, Symfonium does the same on your low power phone in 3 seconds

And that’s probably slower than it could be since I still have my entire library in a jellyfin + a lms provider, so twice the db entries to search through.

You are right about trying to prevent it becoming to wordy. Now it is the second longest description i think.
