System backup says: "Exceeded backup quota"

Issue description:

When I am making a system backup with Seedvault (on idoéOS) it says
I found this issue in their repo: Is it possible to change the backup quota? · Issue #183 · seedvault-app/seedvault · GitHub clearly stating that the app probably wants to backup data that is just not needed. I suspect that Symfonium adds the cached media to the backup data which is not needed there… Additionally I noticed that the system settings data tab also states that all the cached media is listed under “user data”

Reproduction steps:

  1. You’ll need an android wide backup in iodéOS that is SeedVault. I think Google has something backed in as well (but I don’t know)
  2. Let Symfonium cache a few media files
  3. Try to do the backup
  4. You should see the quote exceeded warning in the backup status

Media provider:

Jellyfin

Symfonium does not add anything anywhere and actually disable OS backups because they are broken.

You can backup Symfonium in the backup and restore section, using other solutions is not supported and will probably not work.

I have other apps installed that “do not allow” backups as described in the backup status, but Symfony does report something else there. Why exactly are you’re saying that they are broken? I just thought I’d try it out

Because they will backup config files with non transferable values, database with non transferable values and all of the offline cached media in it.

Symfonium backup / restore system backup exactly what is needed to restore without unneeded or not valid data.
