Symfonium stopped working with Plex suddenly; can't resolve hostname

Issue description

I cannot play music in Symphonium when connected to data anymore.

I use my public IP address and it has always worked until recently. Now it has stopped working whenever I am connected to data/LTE.

It still works on my local WiFi.

It sees the NAS as offline, even though it’s online.

You are connected via plex.tv and all the ips that Plex knows can’t be resolved. Check that your server properly shows that external access is working.

External access to my server works, I have access to it from outside my network. Including to the Plex server, using the Plex app or Plexamp, so not sure what else I could try.

The DNS on your device can no resolve any of the plex.direct ips.

If you want to avoid that and directly connected, remove the host and do not use plex.tv to log, skip that step and manually enter the ip and ports.

Sadly, it does not work. I tried using directly the IP. It only works with the local IP inside the local network. If I go outside the network and try the external IP, it does not work. I checked the port and it is forwarded correctly.

Then it’s actually probably not :wink: Reboot the router ? Open the port and ip from chrome and see what happens ?

Opened the port and IP from Brave from my phone.

It works. So it’s symfonium-related.

Provide logs when properly entering those values while skipping the Plex.tv part. As said on an new provider add not editing this one.

Yeah, but I don’t want to readd it, because it would mean losing all the playlists I created in Symfonium related to this one. I want to make this one work. Is that not possible?

Tried adding it as a separate provider. Log labeled indru-2.

Still failed.

If you can’t get your dns to resolve the plex.direct ips there’s not much I can do. Check your dns servers and configuration.
