Hello there , I just found that symfonium app stay in background for hours even if I dont use it or only for 1 hour .
I saw that by checking battery apps usage ,I took screenshots and compared between them and nothing fix that battery drain except if I choose ''optimized battery ‘’ but I cant play more than 2/3 songs if the screen is off .
I tried disable anonymous analytics/anonymous report ,or ''use internal Decoder ‘’ but nothing fix the battery drain
I can see network usage too but I dont cast at all (only play songs locally ).
Thanks

New user here on 12.2 and I’m seeing very high battery/cpu use when not using the app…also quite high when I am using the app. I realize it’s doing a lot more than most simple players but perhaps some options to reduce background activity would be considered in the future. Or a guide on how to optimize for best battery life.
I will enable debug and follow the process to duplicate the issue and open a case. For quick reference, here’s a comparison of your app vs. Qobuz. They both use Wifi to stream, of course.
4 hours, 16 mins with Symfonium used 15% battery. 3 hours, 4 min. using Qobuz only consumed 3% battery. 4x as much power is used. I’ve disabled everything I don’t want or need and my Jellyfin server is complete with metadata scraping and fully synced with Symfonium.
