I’m trying to use Symfonium on my Android TV and it keeps crashing. It just happened 3 times in the last hour. The first time it was about a minute after I started the app. The second time I was able to search for a song on my NAS, and it crashed before I could play it. The last time, it actually finished playing the first going (from my NAS) and crashed immediately after.
Hi Tolriq. How do I update the app? I see no option to do so in the menus, and when I go to the play store and search for Symfonium, it just tells me to open the app, as it can detect that it’s already on my system. Do I need to uninstall it first? Isn’t that going to wipe out all my settings?
I went to the Android TV’s App store, looked for Symfonium and installed it. I mean, I’ll uninstall if I have to, but if there’s another way, I’d much rather use that. It took a while to tweak it just right
I’m at a loss. I went to the Manage Apps section of the Android TV Play Store, and it states that no apps need to be updated at this time. That mechanism seems to be active, because it auto-updated an app (Peacock) 9 days ago. The Symfonium version I am running is 14.0.0 TV (227708). Is that not the latest?
I don’t have an explanation… There must have been some kind of hiccup. I deleted the logs and restarted the program. It worked fine, but i didn’t have much time to test it. This morning I used it again, and it closed seconds after I opened it (that has been happening from time to time, and always resolves itself once i restart it). I reopened it, and it has been working fine ever since. I sent the logs in case you want to look at this morning’s one crash. I wrote “Ben1265 apr13” for identification purposes.
Nothing in the logs, the app is probably killed by the os but without a proper android bug report I can’t know as the OS is too old to report that on restart.
Hello, I just had another crash. The app was playing songs without any issues, I then accessed a playlist and set it to shuffle. It started playing a song and crashed a couple of seconds into it. Log uploaded, file is “ben1265 414”
There’s no crash those would be logged, the OS is killing the app and does not say why that’s not the same. Already gave you https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/bug-report to try to get a bug report, no idea if your device support that or not but not much I can do on such old and specific hardware.
