Issue description:

Hi

I am using Listenbrainz with Emby to track play statistics via Listenbrainz API.

When playing music directly from Emby, the music is captured by Listenbrainz correctly and tracks are marked played.

However, when using Symfonium, listenbrainz only sees that a track is playing but never marks the track as played. This makes me believe there is an issue that Symfonium is not sending the correct played state to my emby server maybe.

I have tried using Navidrome with Symfonium and this works.

So to recap:

Emby → Listenbrainz = Working as expected

Symfonium → Emby → Listenbrainz = listenbrainz shows currently played track but not marking tracks as played.

Symfonium sends the proper calls, you can easily check the playcount / last played values.

You need to see with the plugin author to properly handle the updated playcounts and not rely on just having the song being played for a certain duration event to properly support offline playbacks.

Thank you for quick reply.

In this case I am not playing back offline. The tracks are streamed directly from my Emby Server.

This does not matter the behavior is the same from Symfonium POV to support properly all cases and control of the settings for resume point and playcounts.

Ok. I will continue to tinker with Navidrome for the time being. Thank you for light speed replies :man_bowing:
