I purchased a second license for a new FIIO device. Logs provided “icebox500” just now. Behavior is that, whether radio stream or Plex music stream, after a time the player “disconnects” (stream continues as if job is handed off). this means that starting a new stream the device assumes it is local play. It then takes considerable time to connect speakers once Play On is selected. Reselect and a new “session” begins until it drops them again.
This device’s Symfonium is setup exactly as my R4 from a backup.

Additional information
Could be a user setting but I did duplicate my setup from my R4 which did not do this.
Your logs show the FiiO repeatedly losing network access. Symfonium then cannot reach the Sonos speakers and switches back to local playback because “Automatic renderer reset” is enabled. The speakers can continue streaming independently.
Could you test whether this still happens with the FiiO’s screen kept on? That will help narrow down whether its power-saving behavior is involved. You can also disable “Automatic renderer reset” to prevent the automatic switch to local playback, although the underlying connection issue would still need resolving.
OK new log icebox500 Sunday submitted. With that change, It did not disconnect plugged in or on battery… Huh. I dunno. Tell me what else you need to know.
Thanks, I think you are correct but since it had disconnected, I wanted to be sure and send the log. Seems that the setting we changed solved the issue. Thanks for your quick help.
Sorry, still and issue. I submitted a log NOLA DROP just now. The first log I gave you, I started plugged in and later unplugged. It seemed “solved” but that didn’t make sense on battery. Just now I was running it on battery (streaming radio) and it did the same disconnect. Takes forever to re-find the group it was playing too, don’t know that those are related things but it is new behavior since 15.01.
I apologize, I missed your comment about wifi on during sleep. I have changed that and will test before making any further changes. I am not meaning to claim it is a version 15 problem, simply providing all the details I can. I have also adjusted last renderer.
