I am using navidrome to play ogg (98%), flac/mp3/m4a (2%) files. I don’t have Lossless capable hardware or ears, so i don’t care about that.
I use Oppo device, notorious for aggressive battery saving, possibly the reason i get stutters during playback specifically when screen is locked (or maybe my settings).
In such simple setup (only music, no audiobooks/podcasts), are there suggestions for specific settings that can play nicer with the stupid OS (already followed don’t kill my app guide), and provide a smoother, or possibly even enhance my experience.
I would like suggestions from all of you, if possible, specially from @tolriq. Earlier i wasn’t using the app actively as it was easier to use spotify when i wanna try new song on the fly n not switch players, but new UI has made me switch to it as default player now, and now going full throttle to set it up.

i came across a couple topics where incorrect settings caused stutters in playback. I don’t know or understand all the options, and thus the reason for this topic.
i wish i could open actual issue with logs, but it’s random doesn’t happen often or predictably, so i can only bet on avoiding bad config.
I understand and am aware you cannot help if users don’t follow the proper channels, but idk, the intent is discussing possibly bad configs, but i’ll open the issue if that’s better despite the lack of reproducibility of the issue
