Song Images vanished after system update

Issue description:

I performed a system update and now most songs don’t show an image anymore even though I had automatic image cache enabled. Once I load the song while being connected to the Jellyfin server its image gets cached again. When playing songs in offline mode symfonium seems to first try to display an image (black image) which then gets exchanged for a music note symbol after some seconds. When playing the song for a second time, the music note is displayed immediately.

I found that all songs that are shown in the “manage offline files” list have an image even though the other songs clearly are also downloaded as I can listen to them while offline. So either all files actually have images but some are not shown or the list of offline files is not complete.

I also tried to disable and re-enable the automatic image cache to trigger a fresh cashing of all images but it did nothing

The logs does not really show the issue here.

You are probably good to go to advanced settings clear image cache and resync your images.

You probably also want to reboot the device one more time.

I restarted and deleted the cache now. How do I resync the images? All the files are downloaded, so how do I trigger the automatic caching of all images?

If you have auto cache of image on the provider just start a sync it will run at the end.

Hmm… I have tried it and it did not update the image caches of umcached songs. Maybe I am also to impatient to see an effect. I included a log under OcraCore-VanImg2 where I scan the provider and stop once the scan is done. But as I said I couldn’t see any images now being cached that previously weren’t.

Ok, I probably wasn’t waiting long enough. Over night, all images were cached. It might be nice to have a section in the settings that shows background tasks that are still running :smiley: thanks for the work
