Logs uploaded as smb-wireguard
Hello, I’m trying to test out the app and I decided to try SMB first. I first added the media source via the vpn and it took but the sync stalled. I did the sync via local network. After that I left home and turned on the VPN only to find that it was marked as offline. I later tried to reproduce the error via a network analyzer and on android that’s done via VPN as well. This is how I figured out that VLC Andorid first sends a broadcast. The first time it worked, later times it didn’t work just like wireguard. The SMB endpoint is Synology DSM 7.2, SMB v2 and v3 are enabled v1 is not.
Steps:
Add SMB source (I used the IP address)
Create an VPN (I used wireguard, it’s routed, default route is set to go via VPN)
disconnect from local network, reconnect by vpn
Search for something to play or just observe that source is offline via filter view.
In the log, I accidentially tried a sync once when I wasn’t on the VPN, but did connect and tried again at 8:36, twice.
I can always contact the same SMB server/share via the same user via MIX explorer.
Logs:
In case I didn’t upload correctly via the app I did it manually with the name of this post on it. The zip contains a pcap, that is not from when the logs were made but shows a conversation. File name was debug-20250330_203723.zip
