Feature description
Hi Tolriq,
I am new to Audiomuse and I have set it up with the plugin for Jellyfin and I am very happy that Symfonium even supports the AM-specific API on Jellyfin.
One idea regarding the SonicAnalysis SmartQueue:
As far as I understand it, every time tracks are appended to the current queue, the last track ist used as a seed for the next batch of 5 tracks. Is that correct?
If yes, I see the problem that the playlist’s music style can easily drift away from the initial track that started the sonic analysis queue after some fetches because for every fetch run a new seed is used. (This can also be a good thing of course if some variation is desired by the user.)
So, maybe some ideas how to make it more customizable for the user:
- have an option to pin the seed track and always use this track again every time the next batch of tracks is fetched from the server
- or have the batch length configurable. Currently it seems to be a fixed size of 5 tracks. If it could be like 200 tracks then this would also make sure that alot of tracks based on the same seed are fetched
Problem solved
It would solve the problem of the queue’s “sonic” style drifting away from the initial seed track every time a new batch of tracks is fetched.
Brought benefits
More control for the user how the smart queue behaves when fetching new tracks.
