Currently, I have a smart queue button in the top bar of the now playing screen. When it is tapped upon, it brings up the appropriate menu, from which tap the gear next to mode, then choose sonic analysis, also enable queue albums, then click close, then close again.
It would be more ideal to have a single tap toggle the feature, with my preferred settings already set, on or off. Perhaps pressing & holding would bring up the menu, or perhaps there’s a better way to handle that. But I would like to be able to tap once on the play screen to turn it on or off.
Perhaps this would be the addition of another button option “Smart queue (toggle),” which would have the behavior, leaving the existing behavior as the “Smart Flow” button for those who prefer it that way. If this approach is taken, that would enable having a simple on / off toggle on the play screen itself, and could leave the button within the play queue screen to bring up the full menu as it currently does.
Problem solved:
Less taps & screwing around while driving.
Brought benefits:
Fits with the other buttons on the now playing screen: shuffle, favorite, instant mix, etc… all of which are single tap interactions (with the exclusion of add to playlist, for obvious reasons).
My bad, that’s what I mean…. smart queue. It’s currently about 6 taps into 2 different menus to enable or disable smart queue. I’m suggesting to have it remember the preferences set (sonic based & queue albums), but simply enable or disable smart queue with 1 tap on the now playing screen.
I don’t use smart flow, so I have no input on that, however as it is, those are less clicks to start.
Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see another way to enable / disable smart queue other than opening the smart flow menu and choosing either disabled or one of the modes.
Just how I like to listen to music. I play an album, and when it’s done the music stops and I’ll choose something else to listen to (or go do something else). However, when I’m in the car I often just want it to keep playing on it’s own.
