Smart fades does not calculate next song

Issue description:

When I’m playing locally downloaded music, smart fades does not calculate the next track’s waveform.

This issue may be related to the fact that waveforms supposedly are not being extracted when the application is running in the background (or the device screen is locked)

Reproduction steps:

 

  1. Start playing music that was downloaded locally
  2. Some time later (depending on the track length) waveform appears
  3. After track ended there’s no smart fade to the next track
  4. Next track’s waveform appears like in step 2 - some time later after start

There’s no smart fades or multiple tracks played in the only log with your name.

Smart fades were definitely turned on when i shared my previous log

So, i tried to replicate the issue this time with song mix (not album mix, as it was before). Now smart fades works and waveforms are extracted as intended. Does it mean that smart fades work only on tracks that aren’t played sequently from albums?

(uploaded new log named “Gandrushka log smart fades”)

Well yes smart/crossfaded are not applied when playing albums in order as the text there clearly states :wink:
