A slide level to determine just how random an instant mix is.
Example, a choice between 1-5. 1 being fully random. 5 being more reliant on how often tracks have been played.
Problem solved:
I’m enjoying the recent adjustments to the instant mix, but i feel like it’s slid to much towards already played tracks. As it stands, it feels like if a song has been played once or twice, the instant mix will always choose that one track. Off that one album for that artist.
Brought benefits:
This would allow people to choose between an instant mix gearing itself more towards tracks with higher playcounts, or letting the mix be more widespread to other tracks by those artist/off those same albums.

Recently played tracks are excluded.
If you want your own algorithm use the smart playlists to build it as intended.
Sorry, i probably could have explained it better. Symfonium is not repeating the same songs in the same mix. It keeps choosing the same songs for every instant mix.
Here’s three Instant Mix examples, starting with the same song:
And here is if i choose a different song:
There is a strong reliance on the instant mix choosing certain already played songs. If it’s going to choose a song for Blind Faith, it will be that one song from that one album. And then it becomes self feeding. The more those songs are played, the more they are selected.
I had just assumed this was how the instant mix was adjusted to work (more of a favorites mix) which is why i requested an option to choose how random it can be. But maybe this is more a bug? Should i repost in the Support section?
Thanks again!
Recently played songs are not added to the mixe, so if you listen to those songs they will be removed from the next one.
If you want something specific to your liking create your own smart playlist
What’s the timeframe to be considered recently played?
Also, it still keeps pushing those same tracks until you play them.
I understand that there are smart playlists, and they do a lot of great things, but I don’t know if it’s best when you want to quickly scroll through your library, find a song you’d like to start with and let it continue from there. But I’ll try it out and see what happens.
Thanks.
