Skipping to next song too early (Plex/UPNP)

Issue description:

When playing an album via UPNP (to my WiiM Ultra music streamer device), sometimes the song will skip to the next song before ending.

Was able to make a log file where this happens at the end.
The first song is 4:54 minutes, but it ends a few seconds too early. Then the second song starts playing for about 10-15 seconds, then the log ends.

Both devices are connected to the same wifi network (5ghz).
 

Reproduction steps:

 
Open Symfonium, connect to WiiM Ultra via casting icon, go to album, press play.

This is your WiiM doing that. From the logs Symfonium set the first track then update the next track when the device have said it have changed to the next song. There’s no manual skip or change from Symfonium involved here, it’s the gapless UPnP.

You can try to disable gapless for that renderer and see if it fix and you can try to only play that song and see if it stops early too.

Tried only the first song, and then it doesn’t happen. So only when there is a next song.

I can’t disable gapless playback on the WiiM, don’t have options for that.

What message could I send to WiiM so their developers will understand the problem?

You disable gapless inside Symfonium on the renderer settings.

And no idea what the WiiM support will need they’ll tell you.

I found the setting and disabled gapless playback in the renderer. The song doesn’t skip anymore now. However, I lose gapless playback.

I will create a ticket with WiiM to look into this.
