Show playlist position numbers in playlist track lists

Feature description

I would like an option to show the number of each track inside a playlist.

For example:

  1. Track A
  2. Track B
  3. Track C

I mean the position inside the playlist, not the original track number from the album.

Problem solved

I often compare playlists to see if they are still in the same order. Right now I have to count the tracks myself to figure out which position a song is in. This gets annoying very quickly with bigger playlists.

It is also harder to notice if a track is missing, duplicated or in the wrong place.

Brought benefits

This would make playlists easier to manage and compare.

Benefits would include:

  • Quickly seeing the exact position of a track
  • Easier comparison between two versions of the same playlist
  • Easier detection of missing, duplicated, or misplaced tracks
  • Better navigation in large playlists
  • No need to manually count tracks from the top

Because it would be optional, users who prefer the current cleaner layout could leave it disabled.

Other application solutions

Many music applications display a numbered position beside each item in an ordered playlist or queue.

A similar implementation in Symfonium could simply show the playlist index before the artwork or track title, while preserving the existing manual playlist order.

Phone

Additional description and context

The total number of tracks in a playlis is already visible, but individual playlist positions are not. This feature would be especially useful when checking restored playlists, comparing playlists between providers, or verifying that two playlists have the same order.
