Should we expect new features after Plex unlocks the API?

Plex is going to unlock the Server API on the Pro Week (September 22-26). But there are no more details, just a statement from Plex:

Let the building begin. We’re excited to announce that our Plex Media Server API documentation is officially available.

So, is it worth waiting for something, or do we need Tolriq to see what’s in these APIs?

There will be nothing more, there’s changes that they should make to speed up sync and give more things. But else everything is already usable.
