Settings resetting constantly

Issue description

From time to time, my settings completely reset in the app on Android. My maximum bitrate resets to “original”, Replaygain turns off, debug logging turns off – everything goes back to default except for my media providers. It seems like it happens at least once a week.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Change some settings to non-default values (e.g. set a maximum bitrate on mobile data)
  2. Use the app for a few days
  3. The settings will reset at some point

Additional information

I’m not sure how much info will be in the logs because debug logging turned itself off too.

The logs is empty so hard to tell. The only reason would be a corruption or deletion of the settings files. Maybe you have no space left ?

My storage is a little low but not empty – I have a couple free gigabytes of storage. I’ll try clearing out more space though and seeing if this issue persists.

I recently had the similar issue. Automatic offline mode got disabled. Rolling cache got disabled as well. Not sure about other settings. Luckily my music on rolling cache wasnt deleted. So maybe ui only issue?
Sorry if waking up old thread. I didn’t find it different enough to raise another ticket.

edit:
I am using S24FE, oneui 8.5 with android 16. Using navidrome for the music server.
