Set bluetooth music output device (override hearing aid priority)

Feature description

I understand android have prioritised hearing aids over other audio devices and my h/aids lack the ability to set them for calls only. The result is if I move out of range of my phone’s BT and then return, the music switches from my good speakers to my hearing aids, I really don’t want that.

Please add a setting so that I can optionally choose a permanent output from connected BT devices. Perhaps when I move out of range the music can just pause, and resume when back in range.

Problem solved

When music switches to hearing aids, the volume is quite loud - unpleasant and distracting - especially if I’ve gone to speak to someone, answer the door etc.

When I get back I have to fiddle with the phone - disconnect the speakers and reconnect them - to get the music playing through the speakers again. Also detracts somewhat from the listening experience.

Brought benefits

Having to wear hearing aids for calls and talking is already enough of a pain, this issue makes me quite resent them

Other application solutions

I have tried a number of ways to overcome this - no success.

As a hearing aid wearer, this would be great. While I listen on my hearing aids often enough, whenever I’m using a different device, walking back into range with my hearing aids in means that it switches every time.
