Feature description:
Currently the previous track button will only go to the previous track if the current track has less than 3 seconds played. If you want to go to the previous track in the middle of playing the current track, it will restart the song. I personally would like it to still go back to the previous track even in the middle of the current track.
This is not the case with Android Auto, anytime you hit the previous track button, the last song will be played.
I think that it would be best if both had a separate toggle, and to make it clear that one does not effect the other
Problem solved:
It saves the user a little frustration if they are more used to one way over another. Purely preference, but always both optioned to be user
Brought benefits:
Gives users a better experience and adds more options for people coming from different media players who may be used to something else
Other application solutions:
I’m not sure if other apps have a toggle feature, but BlackPlayer, MediaMonkey and I think a lot of streaming platforms have the previous track button as strictly previous track, not a rewind
Additional description and context:
A toggle or additional action to separate rewind track and previous track. Currently previously track will rewind the current track if more than 3 seconds are played. Previous track should only go back a track in the current playlist
