Search library by folder name

Feature description:

I’ve been using Symfonium for almost two weeks now, and I must say this app offers a lot of customization options, which I’m really enjoying.

I have a massive library with around 80,000 songs, and many of my albums are organized into folders named by the year they were added (e.g., 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, College Days etc.). I was hoping that when using the search function, typing “College Days” would return matching results under a “Folder” category (or something similar).

Problem solved:

This will definitely solve issue searching for songs placed in a specific folder name especially when a user is not particularly searching for a specific song but rather songs placed in a very specific folder.

Brought benefits:

This will broaden the search capability of the app.

Other application solutions:

Winamp has this function. When searching for a song, you can simply type in the folder, and it would give you the matches, or songs placed in that particular folder (image uploaded for your reference).

Winamp also allow to search for a particular file type. Like searching (.flac).

You are comparing a desktop app that can show infinite amount of data to a phone app

The search search on the most common and visible fields, I certainly do not want to have bad results in the search because I want to search something that is in the name of a folder.

You can use smart filters to filter on the precise things you want to search for.

I would also love this feature, I’m using Symfonium at home (it’s excellent by the way!) connected via Jellyfin and streaming to my sound system. Over many years I’ve organised my tunes in folders so would be great for a search to be able to match this too…. Maybe a setting can be added when ticked includes search results that also match anywhere in the File Path? (or you can add it as one of the search fields like in the mockup below?)
