Retrieve Song Tags Created in Emby

Feature description:

Emby allows tagging in the song level. I need Symfonium to retrieve this data for song filtering. Is this is possible on Symfonium’s end or is it a limitation on Emby’s api?

Problem solved:

I made playlists of every single tag I have created and by proxy allows me to filter by tags using playlists on Symfonium. This very cumbersome as I have to update the playlists on Emby AND on Symfonium every time I add new songs to the server.

Brought benefits:

This would allow users to filter songs from Emby based on tags created on Emby.

There is no option to filter based on Tag, unless I am confused and it is possible somewhere.

Second page in op is using playlists instead of tags directly.

It appears that Album tags and Artist tags exist in the library but not Song tags. Regardless, I tried tagging an album in Emby, synced it on Symfonium, and checked. The Album tag didn’t sync. How does the tag filer work?

I have updated to version 12.0.0. and I am still having the same issue. The tag filter is there, but no tags are listed

You need to full sync after updating to a version that support song tags.

If you still have an issue provide the sync logs as usual.

Your log is empty, you need to enable togs, reproduce the issue (so a full sync) then upload it …

Okay so I disabled then reenabled Debug mode, synced my Symfonium, then uploaded the log.

Just wanted to follow up. Was there anything in the log that indicated that tags were syncing?

Yes the logs shows that Emby send the tags and they are synced.

So how are you checking the song tags?

I’m checking through Library > Tracks > Filter Options

Genre works perfectly, Symfonium sees all of the genres I have created on Emby.
