Recent update removed it
I have a crap DAC on my phone that’s louder on the left than the right, I was using it to keep the audio balanced
I’d be able to have proper stereo audio

Nothing was removed and there was never a balance settings.
You probably talk about per channel pre amp that is still here in the standard android effects.
Then maybe they should re-add that to USB devices idk. All I know is that I was using it one day, then post update the option is gone.

Once you read that sentence and the explanation about where the settings that you maybe are talking about you can either say yes it’s that or no I’m talking about something else and actually tell what. Since again there was no balance settings in the app.
Found the problem, it defaulted to some wack ass audio setting that force disabled android dsp on external USB audio devices.
