Ratings from nowplaying screen do not synchronize with server

Issue description:

Ratings synchronise on the server when i do them from the tree dots in a listing (playlist, curremt queue, etc…), but not when i do them on the nowplaying screen.

What am i not understanding?

Hope i am doing this right this time. Reuploaded logs with same description.

This time i observed that it sometimes work from now playing. But it always work from the more action entry in listings.

In the logs there’s 16 attempts to set a rating and Navidrome said ok for all of them.

Of those attempts the majority were made from the now playing view. A couple of times Navidrome picked up on them, but with the wrong amount of stars. From the contextual menu it always worked perfectly. I need to test the quick rating too (genius idea, perfect for my usecase)

i will check the server logs and post them here if they show something relevant. Otherwise i’m clueless on how to help identify what’s going on. If you have suggestions, i’m happy to try them.

Hmm… testing the quick rate, turns out after i’ve done that, i can no longer alter the rating from the conextual menu. Was not allowed to attach a video, but i recorded it…

After changing the rating in pop up menu, the number of stars are different from those seen in the queue/nowplaying, vs the number seen in the rate popup from contextual menu. The popup seems to only affect itself, while the nowplaying affects the list and the pop up rating.

Should i open another issue for this and submit recorded logs separately?

Many thanks! But i appologize. The problems described in Ratings from nowplaying screen do not synchronize with server - #6 by sakrecoer are my fault entirely: I changed my password after submitting the previous logs and forgot to update it in symfonium. :see_no_evil_monkey:
