Question about the "Android direct USB" option

App version

Beta

Issue description

I wonder if that option only works on phones where bit-perfect has been implemented at the firmware level because on my phone (Moto Edge 50 Neo) all songs with 44.1Khz resolution output as 48khz and DSD files get decoded to PCM.

The only difference I see compared to the Android default option is, resolutions don’t get stuck when switching between tracks, usually when playing a hi-res song and then switching to a 44Khz or 48khz one.

A log has been uploaded just for the sake of having a confirmation.

Thank you.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the app
  2. The popup to get connected appears, I tap on OK.
  3. Play a song
  4. I see the resolutions changing on my Hiby FC3 with display DAC, where they switch seamlessly but 44.1Khz ones play as 48Khz.

Symfonium on Moto Edge 50 Neo

You already know the answer that’s why there’s Android in the name. Unless exclusive fails on specific model there’s nearly never the need to use that option.

that’s why there’s Android in the name

What do you mean?

there’s nearly never the need to use that option

Why?, isn’t this the option that we can use as an alternative to the USB exclusive driver on phones with support (such as Pixels phones)?
