I have a strange issue where I can use fade fine or I can use processing engine no problem. When I turn both of them on the audio crackles and then stops playing altogether. The only way to get audio back is a clean install from the playstore. I have a poco x6 pro. I was about to purchase and then issue came up!
I turn on the processing engine, pre amp is on makes no difference if i turn it off. And also the equaliser is the same. I have fade in set at 250ms and fade out at 150ms everything else is disabled. Once I turn on both of them the music is crackly and slows down.
But after that what do you do to recover that does not work.
Both those features are driven by the OS so there’s not much I can do if your device embed broken libraries, but stopping the EQ and fades and stopping playback should recover.
Twice it didn’t I had to uninstall the app as I couldn’t hear the music through Bluetooth earbuds or through the phone speaker.
I turned off the processing engine first. Then the fade next.
Don’t worry about it. It’s the only app it’s happened on so I reinstalled power amp with preamp, graphic equaliser and cross fade with no issues. And no issues with neutron player or musicolet.
Thanks for investigating. I’ll try again in the future months.
You can probably use crossfade with no issue as it’s my code. The fades are handle by OS VolumeShaper.
And yes other older apps wrote code to handle those, the OS have it native now, so it’s most efficient to use the OS versions when possible and since Symfonium is more recent this is the road taken.
