Prefer animated artwork toggle (NPS) supersedes the prefer track thumbnail toggle from the media provider settings

Issue description

Unless the animated artworks are embedded, the NPS Prefer Animated Artwork toggle seems to force all tracks to show animated artwork even with Media Provider toggle “Prefer Track Thumbnail” enabled.

  2. NPS Toggle Enabled: Prefer Animated Artwork

I’m aware the WEBP is quite large…I wouldn’t be a beta tester If I wasn’t testing…
I can confirm the behavior described is still true when significantly smaller animated artwork is used.

In your case since all tracks have an embed cover, the animated image will never be seen in the now playing.

I see, I was hoping to be able to default back to the original static artwork by simply changing the NPS toggle.

Assuming I remove the embedded cover for the track with the webp in its folder. This would now ensure the animated artwork can be seen.

If the NPS toggle is disabled will Symfonium show that track with the embedded artwork of Track 1 (or whichever track is first) in this album as per usual?

In the scenario if noneof the tracks have embedded artwork with the NPS toggle disabled the album art would just be blank?

No if there’s no track cover it will use the album one.
