Feature description
Add native support for parsing and displaying custom Dynamic Range metadata tags (e.g., DYNAMIC RANGE, DYNAMICRANGE, DR) from audio file metadata, with the ability to show this info in custom text rows on the Now Playing screen.
Problem solved
Currently, Symfonium ignores custom Dynamic Range tags during library indexing. Users with large local libraries (e.g., tens of thousands of tracks) who already have DR metadata stored in custom tags cannot display or filter by this information without manually or programmatically re-tagging their entire library into standard fields like Comment or Grouping.
Brought benefits
It would allow audiophiles and music collectors to view the master quality/dynamic range of tracks natively inside Symfonium. Also would expand Symfonium’s custom tag parsing capabilities to better serve advanced local library management
Other application solutions
Foobar2000 reads and displays custom DYNAMIC RANGE tags via plugins and customizable view elements. MusicBee supports custom tag mapping directly in the interface to display custom fields anywhere on the player screen.
